A Case of Acute Lympholastic Leukemia Associated with Leukemia Cutis

Abstract

|
Erythematous papule on skin was noticed in a 18-year-old male patient with acute
leukemia. On admission, acute leukemia with skin infiltration was suspected because of
95% blast cells in peripheral blood smear, hepatosplenomegaly and Iymphadenopathy.
Bone marrow study revealed marked increased in Iymphoblast. Histopathologically, skin
sections showed a dense cellular infiltration of the cutis and there were considerable
edemas separating the infiltration from the epidermis. A review of the literature is
presented with a brief discussion of this case.
